Parenting Partnerships, Inc. provides family life education
that strengthens and stabilizes family relationships.

Are you debating about attending a parenting workshop or class, but you just can't find the time to make a six or eight week commitment? You may feel you handle most parenting challenges pretty well, but there may be a challenge or two that keeps surfacing and it has you and the rest of your family frustrated. Family Coaching is designed to address parenting challenges that you may feel are unique to your family - challenges that may or may not be addressed in a parenting class.

Family Coaching is for parents that prefer individual support in order to address specific family challenges or those parents who would like to prepare themselves for future parenting tasks. Certified Family Life Educators (CFLEs) use a uniquely designed curriculum to address individual family concerns. The curriculum is designed to help parents recognize where they are as a family, where they would like to be, and to help develop strategies that contribute to a more peaceful, cooperative family environment.

Curriculum contains information that identifies parenting challenges in order to minimize power struggles and create a cooperative family environment. Family Coaching provides information on a variety of topics including, but not limited to:

• Balancing family and work
• Teaching children life skills
• Distributing the load - family work
• Communicating effectively with family members
• Teaching children anger management
• Building self-confidence and self-esteem
• Minimizing toddler challenges
• Taking advantage of teachable moments
• Disciplining age appropriately
• Reducing sibling rivalry
• Managing family conflict
• Organizing the family finances
• Helping children develop effective homework and study skills
• Learning about children's developing brain
• Identifying learning styles and their affect on communication
• Parenting the special needs child
