Children Caught in the Middle

 


 

Children Caught in the Middle is a co-parenting education and family stabilization course. Judges, attorneys, and the authors made contributions in many segments. It is an interactive course that focuses on what happens to children growing up between two homes. A certificate is issued at the end of the course. This course is for anyone raising children between two homes.

Most importantly, this course includes skills that facilitate healthy co-parenting relationships.

Children caught in the Middle requires four hours of class time. An outline of class content is available for your review:


 

PART I: Adults Concerns

  • Discuss legal aspects of co-parenting and examine options for alternative dispute resolution.
  • Explore traps parents frequently fall into that prevent successful co-parenting.
  • Discover effective ways to manage conflict to facilitate communication with your children's other household.
  • Learn ways to handle stress, work through loss, and take care of yourself in order to co-parent.


 

PART 2: Children's Concerns

  • Discuss options pertaining to parenting time.
  • Learn to minimize stress for your children when they transition between homes.
  • Explore traps parents frequently fall into that cause undue duress for children.
  • Discover techniques that will help your children survive and thrive as your family re-stabilizes.

CHILDREN caught in the MIDDLE - Live Classes:

All participants receive a comprehensive workbook and a certificate upon completion of the course. To earn a certificate, participants must stay the full duration of the class. For class schedules, locations and registration please refer to our Calendar. The fee is $45.00 per person and must be paid 72 hours in advance.

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to class time for registration.
  • Admission is not allowed after the class begins.
  • Please note you are securing a place for this class when you make your payment.
  • Fees are not refunded to participants who don't show up.
  • This class is not appropriate for children and no childcare is provided.
  • There is no waiting area for anyone not participating in the class.
  • Materials are available; however you are encouraged to take notes.
  • No video or audio recordings are allowed.
  • Cell phones are turned off for the duration of the class. There will be a break half way through to check for messages.
  • Instructors are Certified Family Life Educators, with family mediation and parenting coordination training and experience working with high conflict families.

  • The online course includes the same information as the live course. There is no workbook however.
  • All participants will receive a printable certificate once the class has been completed.
  • Fee is $65.00. You will be directed to a different website in order to pay by Debit or Credit Card.
  • Be sure to return to Parenting Partnerships, Inc. to establish a login and password.
  • Write down your login and password. You may re-enter the course at the point you logged off.
  • Follow the course instructions. All questions must be answered correctly in order to generate a certificate.
